Vintage American Tourister Luggage Find

Yesterday while waiting for my chickadee to get home from school I was searching online for some vintage luggage. Preferably Samsonite or American Tourister pieces. After searching many of my resources I pulled up craigslist and found a listing for a matching set of A.T. that had been posted 12 days ago. I knew it was a long shot that they'd still be available but I called anyway. My call was returned a few hours later and the luggage was mine if I wanted them. um...yea! I want them! I asked the lady selling them if she was the original owner (this is helpful in knowing the condition and age of the pieces), she was. Judy went on to tell me that she'd won them as a consolation prize for being on the television game show Concentration in the mid 60's. She added that she never used the luggage and it was time to let them go. So we set up a time and I was off to collect the luggage. After a little research I learned that the show had aired on and off from 1958–1991. I arrived at her place and much to my surprise the luggage was brand new! New meaning never used and still had the sales tags attached. It also turns out that they are very hard to find in this condition as well as their color pattern. Double score!
